NEW SKETCH: Three Odd Years of Gucci Homes in a Stack
Every once in a while I like to look back and observe the evolution of a site’s design. Yesterday, I went to Gucci.com, a site I’ve used twice before in previous work. This sketch contrasts three abstractions of the home page from 2005, 2007, and now 2011. Not only does this depict basic changes in Gucci’s design approach over the years, but it also reflects changes in my own approach to abstracting a site.
